After a career in Art Education Public School Administration, I decided to use my talents and skills while enjoying my passion, sewing. Fortunately, I was able to spend time managing a Husqvarna Viking lease department in a JoAnnETC store. Here I was exposed to the “real” sewing education world and just loved it. 

A move to Arizona provided new challenges.  I am thrilled to be a Husqvarna Viking Educator and to be certified as a Quilting from the Heartland Instructor.   As an Educator I have appeared on America Sews, worked at the various quilt and craft shows, and taught throughout the country including Husqvarna Viking International Conventions, the Houston International Quilt Market, Spring Market, The Road to California Quilt Show and the Sewing & Stitchery Expo in Puyallup, WA. 

My work has appeared in the Total Embellishment Newsletter, More Embroidery Machine Essentials, Contemporary Quilting, Machine Embroidery Basics, Creative Beginnings in Machine Embroidery, Design in Machine Embroidery, Sew News, and several other publications.  The Tsukineko web page, www.tsukineko.com has two projects listed, one with a downloadable embroidery. I am a Cactus Punch, Signature Series Artist, #97 & #118, and also a Golden Threads Artist with the Thread Sketches Series including Hawaiian Surprise, Christmas Dream, and Daisy Chain.  I have authored an educational and embroidery DVD, Threads & Inks Together – Creating Synergy, and two embroidery/art work CDs, Threads & Inks Together – Mini Station Collection, and Threads & Inks Together – Embroidery and Art Work Collection.

I am a certified Quilting from the Heartland Instructor as well as being Certified in Golden Thread Methods, and a Sulky Thread Artist.

Since age 7, sewing has been my joy.  It provides me with unique fashion and décor, as well as a means of saving money, exploring creativity, and best of all, relieving stress. 

I have never been happier than when I am sharing sewing tools, techniques, and tricks in the classroom. My greatest pleasure is working with students to guide them through the process that brings them to the place where we both see the light go on.  

I am anxious to bring my program to your area.  The result will be fun, excitement, and wonderful times.
